Captain’s meeting will be held at 6:00 pm on June 4, 2010 at Linwood Beach Marina.
5. Entrants must hold a valid Michigan fishing license or be exempt (under 17 years of age) from holding a license and abide by the rules and real limits set forth by the Michigan Department of Natural Resources.
6. Entrants will be subject to disqualification should it be determined that the presented fish were not caught during this contest, the entrant acknowledges receipt of a copy of the rules and regulations, and agrees to abide by all the stated and implied conditions.
7. Walleye is the only fish that will be allowed at weigh-in, no other species will be eligible.
8. All fish entered must be caught by hook and line the day of the contest within the designated fishing area which is, Saginaw Bay south of a line from Point AuGres (43.99 North, 83.68 West) to Sand Point (43.91 North, 83.40 West).NO HOT PONDS!
9. Boats used by entrants must meet all Federal and State boat safety requirements, and able to carry the specified amount of people and gear. All boats will be inspected prior the start of the tournament. All occupants must wear a Coast Guard approved PDF while the boat is moving above trolling speed. The DNR, Coast Guard, and Sheriff’s Marine Patrol may be present and inspecting boats during this time.
10. All boats must prominently display the inspection ribbon at all times.
11. Each entrant agrees to hold any of the contest sponsors harmless from any liability of any nature and kind, for any injuries and/or disagreements suffered by the entrant before, during, and after the contest.
12. FOR YOUR SAFETY: Even if you have no fish to weigh-in, please check in at the weigh-in area so we know all entrants are returned to shore and return your “boat identification board”.
13. By signing the entry form, the entrant absolves The Valley of Bay City Scottish Rite, Lindwood Beach Marina, and all connecting sponsors from any and all liabilities due to injuries to themselves or others during the tournament.
Tournament Officials reserve the right to refuse entry to any individuals.
14. No alcohol in boat. All State boating laws are in effect during this tournament.
15. Contestants will be disqualified for violations of any tournament rules. There will be no refund of entry fees.
16. All rules have “loop holes”. It is intended that the Tournament Committee provide a fair and enjoyable tournament. All questions or problems are to be referred to the Tournament Committee. They have SOLE jurisdiction in determining the application of the rules.
17. Protests may be filed after 3:00pm weigh-in with contest committee. A $100.00 protest fee will be charged for any protest filed. If the protest is up-held the $100.00 will be refunded.
18. Entrants must conduct themselves in a true sportsmanlike manner at all times. Courtesy and ethics of the highest standard are the norm not the exception. Any conduct violating this requirement may result in disqualification.
19. All boats must have a VHF marine radio and monitor channel 72 for any tournament announcements.
20. All fish must be taken to Linwood Beach Marina for official weigh-in.
21. Only one (1) fish per boat chosen by the entrant, will be weighed for largest walleye.
22. Categories consist of:
I. Most lbs. For (5) legal fish
a. Total weight
b. Tiebreaker - largest fish by weight
II. Largest Walleye (part of 5 fish limit)
a. Weight
b. Tie breaker - length
23. All prizes will be team prizes. A team may win only on (1) major team prize in addition to the largest fish.
